Symposium Overview
The largest gathering of transgender and nonbinary people in Ohio, the TransOhio Trans & Ally Symposium began as a one day event in 2008 attended by approximately 80 people, and it has since grown to be a three day conference with a record of over 300 participants, 75+ workshops, and various continuing education credits for qualifying students and professionals (if you aren’t sure if you qualify, please ask!).
Last year, we had to cancel our in-person Symposium due to COVID-19, and TransOhio attempted our first virtual conference with our Virtual Learning Series on Facebook. While we were happy to continue to provide educational information to the community and our allies, the Virtual Learning Series was not as interactive as past Symposiums and did not provide the same sense of community that we have grown to expect, crave, and treasure. So this year, we are offering a three day Virtual Trans & Ally Symposium Friday, September 17 - Sunday, September 19, 2021! This is our first time attempting such a large scale virtual event, and we are so happy to have you along for the ride. Until we can safely and responsibly meet in person again, we are just thrilled to see you.
